Make it Pork! Meal Kit
In collaboration with Sask Pork, we bring students a hands-on, curriculum-linked resource that meets learning outcomes for Grades 7 & 8 Food Studies courses. Students will gain experience cooking with pork, while practicing safe food handling guidelines and learning about pork’s nutritional qualities.
The Make it Pork! Meal Kit comes complete with all the ingredients needed to make the soup; optional garnishes are not included. Each kit is designed for one group of four students and includes the Student Resource. Additional nutrition resources can be found at saskpork.com; physical copies are available upon request.

Edible Enterprises
GRADES 10 TO 12 | November-December 2024
Edible Enterprises is a NEW program for Grades 10 to 12 that aims to inspire entrepreneurial interest and prepare students for careers in the food industry. Students will learn from Saskatchewan agri-food entrepreneurs and gain hands-on cooking experience while exploring the food product development process from farm, through business and marketing, all the way to the consumer.
This program will prepare students to succeed in the dynamic food product industry. Through hands-on learning, real-world problem-solving, and direct interaction with industry professionals, students will:
- build critical thinking, entrepreneurial, and practical cooking skills;
- learn about food production, processing, and marketing;
- explore career opportunities in the food, agriculture, and business sectors; and
- learn about mentorship from professionals in the food industry.
